The Barbara May Foundation warmly welcomes Mr Edward (Ted) Kerr OAM as its new Board Chair.
With his expertise in Not For Profit board leadership (including previously serving as the Chair of Opportunity International Australia), following a distinguished career in professional services, Ted is well placed to lead the Barbara May Foundation into the future.
Ted is excited to be working with the Board to lead the Foundation into its next phase of growth.
We extend our thanks, with much gratitude, for the service of Mr Michael Sharpe AO, our outgoing Chair who served for over 12 years.
During Michael’s tenure, the Foundation has grown exponentially to support 5 hospital projects throughout East Africa, with all of these projects taking shape during Michael’s time as Chair of the Board.
At Michael’s final board meeting in February 2024, the Board paid tribute to his legacy as Chair, thanking him for his wisdom, steady leadership, and love and care for the women of Africa.
