Pat Kennedy

Pat has been an ambassador and volunteer with the Barbara May Foundation since 2021, bringing a unique blend of medical and communications expertise to the role.

Pat began his career as a Registered Nurse, before training under Dr Bob Wright at St Vincent’s Hospital to become one of Australia’s first intensive care paramedics. Later, Pat moved into professional media consulting, specialising in presentation and media training.

This combination of experience has made Pat a valuable part of BMF’s journey. He has conducted media training for the Foundation, and co-authored A Doctor in Africa, the biography of Dr Andrew Browning AM.

Now retired from the workforce, Pat remains highly committed to helping share the stories of mothers, families, and health workers in Africa. He has assisted BMF and Dr Browning to strengthen its communication efforts and gain valuable media coverage for the Foundation.
