Julie Toma joins the board of the Barbara May Foundation with significant experience in healthcare marketing and communications. Julie began her career in Biomedical Science going on to complete a Masters in Business Administration and the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course. She has successfully leveraged the combined expertise of biomedical science and marketing in a number of large, global corporations including Sonic Clinical Services, Cochlear, Kimberly-Clark Healthcare and BD.
Julie holds a non-executive board role with LiveBetter with experience on the Audit & Risk and Remuneration Committees, as well as being a Cancer Australia Research Grant Advisory Committee Member, a CXO Leaders Award Judge and an Australian Marketing Institute past NSW Council Chair and current AMI Awards for Excellence Judge.
Julie has significant expertise in marketing strategy, stakeholder engagement, corporate PR, customer centricity, digital innovation and corporate social responsibility. Julie is passionate about strategic business planning and was a finalist in the CEO Magazine Executive of the Year Awards 2017. Julie lives in Sydney with her husband and two daughters.
