We are pleased to advise that Professor Jonathan Morris AM, MB, ChB, FRANZCOG, CMFM, DDU, PhD, FAHMS has been appointed as Chair for the Barbara May Foundation today. As a highly regarded clinician, researcher and former Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney School of Medicine, Professor Morris comes with a wealth of clinical and leadership experience, including:
- Over 20 years’ experience in caring for women with high-risk pregnancies
- Former Director of the Kolling Institute of Medical Research
- Former Associate Dean and Head of Northern Clinical School, University of Sydney
- President of Women’s Healthcare Australasia
Professor Morris AM is a current member of the Barbara May Foundation board whose experience in building collaborative relationships with clinicians, donors, stakeholders and partners in Africa, Australia and internationally will be valuable as we continue to empower women and children with access to safe maternal care.
Professor Morris will be supported by an experienced and passionate board and Deputy Chair, Dr Samantha Hargreaves. The Barbara May Foundation is also supported by the dedicated Founder and Medical Director, Dr Andrew Browning AM, General Manager Karen Baker and Executive team.
Professor Morris is also a board director of the North Foundation, Anglicare and StillBirth Foundation Australia.
